Oops! I haven't blogged since Wednesday. I'm kinda falling behind on the Blog Every Day in May challenge. I'm not even going to do today's prompt, but that's okay. Here's a list of what's going on in my mind.
I
really want to own a business. I'm only 19, but I want to own a boutique. I'm currently working on an online shop that is focused on pre-worn clothing. I'm actually considering making it a regular boutique and have the 'pre-loved' section on Ebay.
I went to the
Canton Flea Market with my mom yesterday afternoon. It's something we usually plan weeks in advance and get up in the wee hours in the morning for. Not yesterday! We decided to just drive over there (about half an hour's drive) to get some yummy lunch. We shopped a bit (bought some cute earrings!) and got a lot of boutique ideas. We didn't stay long, just an hour or so, and then we headed back home. Cute anecdote: I lost $9 when we were about to start walking back to the car. I was so devastated that was my yard sale money! :P Once back to the car, there was a $10 bill on the ground. Business Jesus gave me a profit.

| Thousands of people attend CFM every year! I love it, and it has always been a mother/daughter tradition in my family. (seriously. My mom's sister took my grandma!) |
I got a job as a substitute at a local daycare. If someone calls in, I'll get the call to cover! Yesterday morning I went and 'shadowed' a few teachers to see which age group I liked best. I only spent a few minutes in each classroom, but fell in love instantly. In the one year old classroom, I was amazed at how quickly they cleaned up their messes when threatened with their recess time. Seriously. The blocks were off the floor in thirty seconds. I didn't get a chance to visit the two year olds (they were on the playground), but the 3's looked to be so much fun! I walked in and they were dancing to a song about peanut butter & jelly. How cute! Next was the four year olds. I caught them at art time, so they were very calm for the most part. There was actually a substitute in there for the day, so she was telling me about her transition into the job (something I'll be doing next week). Last (but my favorite!) was the infant room. Ages 6 weeks to 6 months- plump and cuddly. I got to feed a little boy, I believe he was about 5 months. He was absolutely adorable and just kept staring at me with his huge eyes. He was probably concerned that a new adult was in the room. I was so sad that I had to go. The director's assistant asked me which age group I enjoyed, and I think that's when I realized infants! I was upset that I had to leave. Shadowing was fun. Now I get to sit by my phone and wait to be called in. :P
I won't be on my blog tomorrow. I'm going to yard sales in the morning, and when I'm done there, Ian and I are going back to my college town to go through our apartment. I'm having a huge yard sale at his house (along with his sisters), and I know there's a lot of stuff at my apartment that needs to be cleaned out. So we are taking a mini trip up there. Also, even if we are working and cleaning, it will be nice to spend some alone time with him. <3
Last, but certainly not least, is Sunday! It's Mother's Day, and this year we are planning on doing something awesome. The plan is to go to the Vicksburg miltary park and have a picnic. (I'm even gonna make a cheesecake!) After that, we will visit a few museums (there's even a small Coca-cola one) before heading home in the evening. It was actually mama's suggestion, so I hope all goes well.
I know this post is long, but I'll be absent this weekend. At least now you know where I will be! Of course, I'll still be active on
instagram. ;)
